Retailers Eager to Incorporate Open AI Chatbot into Retail Shopping

Microsoft introduced ChatGPT in 2022. The AI-Powered technology was a great success. Later, other tech giants also announced their interest in releasing a similar one. Google recently announced its version that uses a similar technology. 

The AI-powered tool has successfully demonstrated its conversational strategies.

OpenAI enables complimentary access to ChatGPT. Also, there are paid versions that come with a $20 subscription. There are several advantages, including priority access to new features and quicker response approaches.

The potential benefits of ChatGPT have attracted retailers as well. There are reports that retailers are actively considering exploring the benefits of ChatGPT for online shopping.

“For retail, there is an immediate use case, which Microsoft identified for ChatGPT: the fact that [ChatGPT] can interject itself into the search process and give you a response to a search query that’s not advertising influenced. Now, if I have something that can interject itself into the customer experience, that — at least in the short term — works better if it’s not advertising based, that’s inherently disruptive in the same way that TikTok, when it started, was super disruptive to Instagram,” says Bryan Gildenberg, founder, Confluence Commerce.

ChatGPT will assume more significance in the future as the world becomes increasingly digital.
